10/17/10 Prayer Requests and Announcements

REQUESTS:

Kevin Myers--
prayers for strength to overcome the obstacles Satan is putting in his path

Tricia Lillard--for her appetite to continue to improve; She had a good visit today with her oncologist, she will begin chemo next week.

Elijah McDowell--stomach cancer; please pray for comfort for him and the family as the end of his life on this earth nears

Kelly LaMae--surgery on Tuesday

Karen Shaw--for her radiation treatments that she will continue to tolerate them and that they will kill any remaining cancer cells

Barton Spencer--trying to get into clinical trial at MD Anderson to treat his cancer

Barney Koestler--will begin a clinical trial at Vanderbilt for cancer

Doug Hoven(?)--possible liver cancer

Sandra Logan--diagnosed with cancer

Cindy Griffiths--struggling with dealing with patients who have died or having to give bad diagnosis..stress and burnout with her job

Kayla, friend of Kinzie Alexander,--throat cancer

Transportation leaves SV at 5:00 or meet at the Inmons @ 5:30. Chaperones needed especially to drive! Cost is $5.

(Thursday night) Fall Festival/Haunted House at Streets Ministry. Meet at SV at 5:00PM and return at 8:30. Bring your scary faces!!

Upcoming Dates to Remember & Prayer Requests

Agape Heartlight 2010 -Saturday, Oct. 23; Autozone Park 6:30 - 9:00PM "Home Field Advantage" See Tom Alexander for more information.

MS Reach In, Saturday, Oct. 23 – Hayride @ the Inmons – Join us for a night of great on the farm! We’ll have a bonfire, hayride, and supper together. Bring $5 and a camping chair. Either meet at the Inmons (1200 Highway 193 – near Macon Rd and 385) at 6:00 or ride a van from SVCC at 5:30. We conclude at 9:00; vans will return to SVCC at 9:30.

HS Reach Out, Thursday, Oct. 28 – Fall Festival at Streets Ministries – We’ll be hosting a fall festival for the junior high students at Streets. Leave from SVCC at 5:00, return at 8:30

PRAYER REQUESTS:

Tricia Lillard--
continued recovery from her surgery and positive results from her scans

Karen Shaw--good results as she begins radiation treatments for breast cancer

Barton Spencer--good results from the cyberknife treatments on his brain tumor; tumors in his lungs and to get good results from the upcoming clinical trial

Don Litton--recovering at home from stents put in his heart and also from light stroke.
