Additional Prayer Requests from Cindy Griffiths

1. David--surgery is tomorrow at 830 at Methodist University. Prayers for no complications, quick recovery. Also, he will be using the homebound teachers for the next three weeks until he can go back to school.

2. Me-I am getting blood transfusion(2 units) on Thursday. I am still hopeful that eventually my insurance will approve the new iron preparation so that I can try it. If it gets approved, I will have to go to hospital for first dose because of the anaphylaxis I had to the last iron infusion. I am so tired of being tired and I would very much like to at least try the iron again; I wouldn't have to get so anemic to be treated.

3. My aunt, Grace Cleveland; we have prayed for her many times before. She told me on Friday that she has been diagnosed with leukemia.

4. My friend--Rush Clifford, a dear friend of many years has just been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Pray for healing and for his wife, Gwen

"It is well with my soul..."

Barton went to be with the Lord, around 8:45am. We are sad to say goodbye, but will celebrate a life well lived, & the faith he exemplified. Thank you all for your love & prayers. I will send out an email later. We sang "It is well with my soul" as he quit breathing, & tho it didn't stop our tears, those comforting words are what we will hang onto. Love, Tom A

Barton Spencer Update

Jeannie’s younger brother, Barton, is apparently going to lose his battle with cancer. We were called this morning by his wife that Barton is now starting to have more trouble breathing due to the congestion the cancer is causing in his lungs, and is starting to drift off to sleep more and more. She was told that he could even die within the next week, it has so rapidly started to overwhelm his system.

So Jeannie and I are headed to Hattiesburg tonight for the weekend, and we will determine on Sunday re when returning. Please lift Barton and Sarah and the kids up in prayer, as well as Jeannie’s family. This was one really GOOD guy, and we are determined to trust the Lord and glorify Him even when our hearts are so sad. It is what Barton would want, it is who he is, and it is who we will try to be as well.

grace & peace,

Tom A.
