I would like to add two friends to our prayer list.
Scott and Diane Karper are our missionary friends from Honduras. They are in the states for the holidays and while here Scott visited the Dr. and they found some pretty major heart problems. They are not allowing him to go back until the end of Feb. He is having a lot of tests done. Diane will have to travel back alone to take care of business and then go back to Pa. to be with Scott.
Please pray for good test results and safe travel for Diane.
Also a good friend in Laurel, Mississippi,Hope Staples, ( also doing mission work in Honduras) Has been having terrible migrain headaches. They have run test after test and can not figure out the problem. The headaches are so bad she is not able to work and is on medicine that keeps her in "a fog" all the time. Please pray that she will have some relief and that the doctors will find some answers.
Thank you~! Lori Willis
Additional prayer requests from Dana McKelvy:
One of my students has a parent who has been given 6 – 8 weeks to live. I can’t reveal the name at at this time; the child has not yet been told that the illness is terminal. The parent is receiving hospice care at home. Please pray for the mother and child as they try to cope and for us as teachers and staff as we try to help the child.
Also pray for my mother, Ava White. She is having a pacemaker put in tomorrow at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. She has had the Chicago procedure done, but her mitral valve has deteriorated a great deal and will have to be replaced. The cardiologist is hoping that the pacemaker will help her feel better and buy her some time. The Chicago procedure only made her feel better for about two days—literally. I am so afraid that this pacemaker is going to prove to be another disappointment. Please pray that I am wrong. My mother hasn’t felt well in so long—I just want her to feel better. She will be 72 on Monday, January 19th.
