2/23/09 Prayer Requests & Announcements

Jim Chambers........still in hospital, Teri Johnson 80 year old x-father-in-law. Been there for 4 weeks.
Dossie Shaw....Terry's mom--They had to remove half the foot. They are watching it closely to see if more will have to be amputated. Now, she has high fever they can't diagnose or control. After attempts to lower the fever medicinally, they turned the A/C on full blast and iced her for 3 hours. Fever was still over 100 degrees - even after all that. Today was a day of many tests. They are trying to find the cause of the fever/infection. Not good. Mentally, she's not there at all.

Southerland family......loss of wife and mother of 4 who died unexpectantly

Grace Patterson.....recovering from liver transplant...see updates here: http://caringbridge.org/cb/viewJournal.do?method=reload&scrollPage=1&ec=28

Dossie Shaw....one other prayer request regarding Terry's mom. Terry & his siblings are looking for a nursing home for his mom. Please pray for them through out this process so that they can find the best possible fit for her.

Thanks Class,

We're headed back to south Arkansas in the morning because my mother-in-law having a second amputation. This time, it's a major amputation at or above the knee. She's also dealing with a staph infection, and the antibiotics have not yet worked - since Saturday. She's fragile and tired. We're praying for God's will in this.

Please keep Terry in your prayers. He's getting very "quiet" on me.

I spoke with Karen today. Terry's mom is doing well, physically. The amputation went well and all the infection is gone. Mentally, she is about the same. She really doesn't understand anything. But they are encouraged by how well she is doing physically and are talking with the nursing home. Please keep them in your prayers.
