Hannah Grace Wyatt

Remember Tim & Susan's little baby cousin, Hannah, that we have prayed for since before her birth? Well, here's an update from Susan on her. Please continue to pray for her..

I know I have not updated y'all in a long time. So here is the journal entry I got this morning.
It was written by her mom, Tim's cousin, Heather.

OK, so it has been a nice long while since I've updated... sorry about that, but things have been going pretty well! Hannah got over her virus, she is trying to cut her 2 top teeth (one may even be through today), & she is doing good! Her hernia surgery has been moved to May 20th, so hopefully it won't give her any troubles during this time. She will have several appts start trickling in, as she will be a year old on 5/12/09... can you believe it has been a year!
She will have her 1 year check up; she will have a new eval for therapy b/c they may need to go ahead & start her on some speech & occupationa
l thearpy as well; she has to go for a new swallow test to see how she takes baby food; & she will go for a new urodynamic study on her bladder. Please keep all this in your prayers for Hannah! The only appt I know already is her surgery (5/20) & everything else I have to hear back from scheduling & will update when I know.
As for how she is doing on mobility... her physical therapist is not happy about where she is on head control :( She is getting better, but she just feels she is nowhere near what she should be. Her lack of head & trcuk control will prevent her from getting mobile on her own in any way, so we have to going to have to start really working her hard on PT! Please keep the mobility issues in your prayers as well, since she is supposed to get fitted for her braces on 6/8/09 to help her start standing & frankly she is nowhere near ready for that :(
Other than the weak head control, everything else seems to be moving along slowly but in a positive direction! She is holding things in her hands & showing interest in wanting to play with toys, so maybe we will find the right toy soon enough that she will want to jump out & grab! To me, her eye movements seem to be improving, & she will have another developmental optometrist appt probably next week (was to have been tomorrow, but I have to reschedule). She is getting a little more vocal too (for those who go to church with us, you've heard her), so that is fun!
As for the rest of us... Charlie is a 3 year old energizer bunny! Chad is doing fine (starting yet another job on Wednesday, so pray for him), and I'm here just loving life!
Thanks for everything & I hope you all have a super week ;)
