Hi all,
Per a message from Phillip Shockley, the scheduled surgery for David Shockley took an unfortunate turn. They had hoped to remove about half of his stomach to get rid of all the cancer that was left. Unfortunately, when they started the surgery, they found hundreds of small tumors unexpectedly so they closed him back up and he will have to now follow up with his oncologist on a new plan of action. Phillip asked that we "please, please, please pray for his dad". Let's all make this a priority-when we get up, when we lay down, all during our day, let's lift David up in prayer.

7/26/09 Prayer Requests and Announcements
REQUESTS:
Tyler Taylor--Keep him in your prayers as he returns from Africa on Friday.
Charles Cozzens (Jeff's Dad)--is back at the hospital for tests Today and hopefully to get his 3rd hip replacement.
LeAn Ramsey--sees the oncologist on Friday. Please pray that no further treatments will be necessary.
Donna (Michael's sister)--lost a child to cancer two years ago and is very angry with God. Please pray for her to find comfort and peace.
Sarah Jenkins--traveling this week in Mass. for Choral Festival.
Chad Chapman, Jr.--keep him in your prayers while he is in the Army basic training.
Becky & Chris Bowers--Becky lost her job this week, pray for them to trust God in everything.
Kinsey Alexander--Kinsey is traveling through Italy, London and Ireland this week and will be alone at times. Please pray for her safety.

Mike (friend of Susan Hannah)--doing well after his accident, but having to start over and get back on his feet
Rudeen Watson family--friend of Booth family, passed away from cancer; leaves 6 children
Charles (uncle of the Walkers)--late stages of liver cancer
Emily (Carol's friend)--has decided to stop all treatments; Please pray for her salvation!!!

7/12/09 Prayer Requests
****Marie Marlin & family***--Marie's dad, James Bobbit, passed away this morning as the result of a head injury from a fall. Please pray for God's comfort over this family!!Funeral arrangements: Visitation Thursday evening 6 - 9 at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar; Funeral Friday, 1PM at Forest Hill Church of Christ.
****Tim Roberts Family***--please remember Tim's family as he died suddenly this morning of an apparent heart attack. Please remember Jennifer Boring as Tim was her brother. Celebration Memorial: Thursday evening at 7PM at Grace Crossing in Collierville.
Kayla Chapman--doing very well from her fall last Friday.
Cooper Johnson--My great-nephew is doing really well. Should be able to come home very soon.
Chad Chapman, Jr--left Tuesday for the Army. Please keep him in your prayers.
Freeman Force--recovering from vocal cord surgery
Patrick Faulkner--14 year old, diagnosed with Chrone's disease.
Tommy Griffiths--in Mexico, returning on Friday
Bonnie Grumme--retired principal from Ellendale, in ICU with bacterial meningitus
LeAn Ramsey--continue to remember LeAn as she recovers from her surgery
Kenneth Ramsey--got a very good report from his scans; cancer spots have all decreased. Please continue to pray for his healing.
David Shockley--got a good report from his recent tests. Drs. say the stomach cancer is "greatly reduced" He will be having surgery soon.
Scott Podleski--Carol's friend, update from Carol: He is doing much better. He will have an angiogram on Thursday to implant a radioactive bead into his liver. If all goes well, he will have the full procedure.
Kim Chapman--everything went very well with giving notice at my job. My bosses are both very supportive and are even looking at ways for me to work from home!
Jim Hinkle & family--as they are traveling for the next couple of weeks on vacation.

Tommy Griffiths--leaving for Mexico this week for 2 weeks. Please pray for his safety and for Cindy and the boys while he is gone.
Chad Chapman, Jr.--leaving for Basic Training for the Army on the 14th. Please pray also for Chad to have peace with this. He is very worried about Chad, Jr.
Middle School Mission Trip--Mission:Memphis for our middle schoolers begins Thursday. Please pray for all working with our kids and for their lives to be touched.
